Branson
The Baseball Pirates home opener was a tough one as the Pirates are shutout by Rogersville 12-0 in a game heard on MOARK Sports. The Wildcats took advantage of a pair of Pirate errors in the third inning to expand a 1-0 lead and kept building from their while three Wildcat pitchers combine to hold the Branson to three hits. The win for Rogersville avenges a early season loss last year to the Pirates prior to the Wildcats making a run to a second place finish in the Class 4 State Tournament. The Pirates host Webb City this afternoon weather permitting at 4:30
Forsyth
The Panthers go to 2-0 on the season with a 6-5 win in Springfield over Central. The Panthers next action will be in another Ozark Classic Tournament hosted in Harrison this weekend.
Hollister
The Tigers open play after being delayed due to the weekend's cold weather. Hollister travels to Ava and picks up an 8-2 win. The Tigers return to action on Thursday at Carl Junction.
Tournament Action
Several teams are in classics and tournaments this week.
Blue Eye wins a pair of games at the Exter Tournament, edging the host team 2-1 and getting a big 26-0 win over Wheaton.
At the Purdy Tournament, Crane loses a pair of games, 7-1 to Hartville and 11-1 to Seymour.
Two SWCL Schools play each other at the Verona Tournament with the Galena shutting out Spokane 8-0.
Action in all of those tournaments continues through the week.
Also returning to action today is Reeds Spring as the Wolves travel to Springfield to take on Hillcrest.
