Basketball Recap: Harrison Splits First Two Games in Rogers, Branson in Another Shootout, More Results

MOARK Basketball Teams involved in action Friday night.

Harrison at Arvest Hoopsfest
The Goblins are 1-1 in their first two of three games at the event in Rogers. After losing for only the second time this season, dropping a 59-56 decision to Nixa, the Goblins rebound Friday night with a 71-54 win over Heritage. Ryan Scribner had 21 points to lead the Goblins, who will take an 8-2 record into their contest this morning at 11:00 Conway which can be heard on MOARK Sports and 94.9 KHOZ.

Branson Losses Shootout at Republic
For the second straight game, the Pirates got involved in a shootout trying to rally for a win. Over losing in Harrison to the Goblins on Tuesday, the Pirates played at undefeated Republic Friday. Jayce Culver led the Pirate shooting barrage, scoring several of his 23 points in the second half. While several teammates also hit key 3-point shoots, they were not enough to overcome the 28 point effort of Republic's Brody Blades as the Tigers held on for a 75-69 win. 

Reeds Spring Wins Fourth
Also on MOARK Friday night, the Reeds Spring Wolves bounce back after their first loss of the year, winning on the road at Cassville 66-40. 

Other MOARK Teams in action Friday night included the Forsyth Panthers, who dropped their second straight game, losing to West Plains 69-58 while the Branson Lady Pirates loss their first game of the season, dropping a 46-33 decision to Aurora in the semi-finals of the Freeman Lady Eagle Classic in Joplin. The Lady Pirates will play for third in the tournament today.
