Blue Eye Takes Opening State Tournament Game, Two Other Teams End Season, Other Teams Begin

The Blue Eye Bulldogs continue to move on in postseason picking up a State Tournament win on Monday.

In a game heard on MOARK Sports, the Bulldogs rolled by visiting Pleasant Hope on Monday 59-30 to secure a spot in the Class 2 Quarterfinals Friday traveling to Eugene. 

In other games, two MOARK Schools had their seasons end at the Class 4 District in Rogersville with Ava beating Reeds Spring 59-39 and Mountain Grove edging Hollister 73-67. 

In action today on MOARK Sports, Forsyth plays against the home team at Hollister in an opening round game of the Class 4 Girls District Tournament at 6:00.

Schools in all classes in Arkansas are in State Tournament play this week with the Harrison Goblins opening Wednesday against Little Rock Catholic in the 5A Tournament at Greene County Tech.

Meanwhile, the Lakes Region is hosting a state tournament as North Arkansas College in Harrison is hosting the 3A Tournament in partnership with Harrison Parks and Recreation and Valley Springs Schools. The Bergman Boys and Girls teams as well as the Flippin Boys are among the teams in the field with action getting underway today.
