The second day of action at the National Christian College Athletic Association Basketball Tournament at College of the Ozarks saw both host teams win.
The C of O Lady Bobcats punched a ticket to the National Championship Game by holding off Oakland City 76-71. After leading most of the first half, the visitors from Indiana had a run to start the second half grabbing the lead by the end of the third quarter. The teams traded the lead in the fourth quarter before the Lady Bobcats went up for good with two minutes to go to hold on to the win. The Lady Bobcats will take on Springfield’s Mission University in the Championship Game Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Bobcats, after a tough overtime loss Wednesday, rebounded in a consolation game Thursday to down Houghton 78-70 and move on to this evening’s Fifth Place Game in the tournament, playing the University of Fort Lauderdale at 7:00.
