Cal Ripken Day 4: Branson Drops Extra Inning Contest, Wraps-up Pool Play Today

In action Monday at Ballparks of America, Branson drops an extra inning game to wrap-up Day 4.

Branson loses to Glen Allen, VA 6-2 to drop their record to 2-2 in Pool Play. Branson wraps-up action this afternoon at 4:30 against Chicago which would force a three-way tie for second in their bracket. Glen Allen has already won their final game today to go to 3-2 and Pacific Southwest of Hawaii has wrapped up an undefeated run to finish first in the pool. The top two teams move on to the Championship Bracket to play for the World Series Title while the other teams move the Iron Bracket to wrap-up tournament play. 

Meanwhile for the other regional teams, Booneville, MO plays their final pool play game this afternoon at 2:00 while Bryant of Arkansas also plays their final game at 2:00. Hot Springs wrapped-up pool play earlier today with a 3-1 loss to Kennewick, WA to finish 1-4.
