One Lakes Area School will start 2025 with Courtwarming Activities.

Hollister High School is excited to invite the community to celebrate Courtwarming Week, which runs from January 7 through January 10. This annual event promises to be fun and spirited for students, staff, and community members alike.

Coronation
This year’s Courtwarming Coronation will take place on Tuesday, January 7, instead of Friday, to accommodate candidates participating in a theater trip. The ceremony, where the Courtwarming King, Queen, Prince, and Princess will be crowned, will occur between the junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball games.

This year’s king candidates are seniors Blake Brasser, Luke Jackson, Morgan Carlson, and Kevin Teter. The queen candidates are seniors Lauren Tiefry, Emily Menter, Grace Cummings, and Julia Gardner. Prince and princess candidates are Gilbert Stevens and Alyssa Prater (freshmen), Cole Escobar and Rebecca Barney (sophomores), and Johnathan Henderson-Haltom and Allie Archibeque (juniors).

Spirit Week
Spirit Week will feature fun dress-up themes each day. On Tuesday, students and staff will find a friend to dress as twins. Wednesday will be Decades Day, and Thursday will be Candy Land Day. The week will culminate with a blue and white day on Friday, January 10. 

Courtwarming Week Wrestling Matches and Basketball Games
Courtwarming Week will feature an exciting lineup of sporting events. The week kicks off with the Tigers taking to the court for a basketball game against Logan-Rogersville on Tuesday, January 7 at 5:30 PM. On Thursday at 5:30 PM boys and girls wrestling will host Cassville and Reeds Spring. Boys’ basketball caps off the week with a game against Willow Springs on Friday at 5:30 PM.

Dance
The excitement of courtwarming week will continue into the evening on Friday, January 10, with the Courtwarming Dance for Hollister High School students immediately following the boys’ basketball game.
