Friday night was tune-up night for Missouri High Schools as many Football teams got together for three or four-team jamborees.

Two lakes area school got together in Lebanon as Branson and Reeds Spring joined the host Yellow Jackets. All three teams played a large rotation of players, especially Lebanon and Reeds Spring, who limited or rested several of their returning starters for last season's District Championship teams. Branson ran a similar plan, but rotated more varsity players in with several playing at new positions than last year.

Meanwhile, one jamboree was held in the region with Hollister playing host to Ava and Clever while Forsyth traveled to Mount Vernon for a jamboree with McDonald County and Neosho.

In Arkansas, Benefit Preseason games have been conducted this past week, including in Harrison as the Goblins hosted Rogers on Tuesday while Berryville entertained Yellville-Summit in a benefit contest on Thursday while Green Forest hosted Clarksville on Friday.

All football schools in Missouri will start their regular seasons next weekend while Arkansas schools have the option of starting either the 25th or the following Friday September 1st. The area schedule next week includes:

Missouri
Joplin at Branson
Reeds Spring at Monett
El Dorado Springs at Forsyth
Hollister at Cassville (Saturday)

Arkansas
Springdale at Harrison
Green Forest at West Fork
Yellville-Summit at Baptist Prep
