Football Postseason for Branson, Forsyth, Green Forest

Missouri High School Football District Championship Games are tonight.

Since the current postseason format was adopted in 2012, Branson has not made it to the District Title Game until tonight, when they host Republic for a Class 5 District Title. The two teams played annual for decades as members of the Central Ozark Conference, but did not meet in the regular season this with Branson's move to the new Ozark Mountain Conference. Since the mid 1980's, Branson holds a slight edge in the series though Republic has won the last three meetings.

Both fan bases are planning to hold tailgate parties in the parking lot at Pirates Stadium prior to tonight’s game. Legends 1063 will have the on-air Tailgate Party beginning at 4:30 with game coverage at 6:30 on Legends and on MOARK Sports Dot Com.

Meanwhile in its eighth football season, Forsyth will play for their first District Title as they travel to Seneca in Class 3. That game can also be heard on MOARK Sports Dot Com.

Finally, one northern Arkansas school is still in action as that state’s football postseason gets underway as Green Forest will travel to Mena.
