Football Weekend Starts Early for Branson, Other Teams Follow Friday

Week 8 of the High School Football Season in Missouri gets an early start for one Lakes Area School.

The Branson Pirates look to keep the momentum of their special season going as they have a Thursday contest at Rogersville. The first meeting between the schools since 2009 has much significance for the Pirates as a win would clinch a share of the first Ozark Mountain Conference Football Championship and also keep them on track for a possible Class 5 District Top Seed and First Round Bye in the upcoming playoffs. Tonight's game begins at 7:00 with the Pregame Show at 6:30 on MOARK Sports and Legends 1063.

Other action to follow on Friday for the MOARK Teams also has postseason implications. Forsyth and Reeds Spring are in a battle for the second seed in the area Class 3 District with the Panthers having an inside track with their victory over the Wolves two weeks ago. The Panthers have a tough home finale as they play undefeated and No 1 Class 2 Ranked Fair Grove, a team that won at home over Reeds Spring 49-8. The Wolves will look to get back on the winning track as they host Buffalo in their home finale before heading to Hollister for the Backyard Battle.

The Tigers meanwhile will look to get momentum going into next week's game as they play host to Springfield Catholic in a match-up of one win teams.

All games can be heard on MOARK Sports with Buffalo at Reeds Spring also on MY 100.1.

The Harrison Goblins will look to keep momentum after they won their first game of the season in Week 7 of the Arkansas High School Football season, heading to Morrilton for a 5A West match-up. That game on Friday can be heard on MOARK Sports and New Country 1029.
