Some tournament games and make-up games made it a busier than normal Wednesday on the High School Basketball Schedule.
The Forsyth at Ava Boys Game, rescheduled due to Tuesday's Winter Weather, took place Wednesday night and while the Bears gave the Panthers their best effort, Forsyth rallied late in the fourth quarter to squeeze out a 68-65 win.
The Bears went on an early first quarter run and maintained the lead from their until the final two minutes of the game, when the Panthers grabbed the lead for good and held on for their 11th win and also the 250th career win for Forsyth Head Coach Kevin Smith, who is in his third year at Forsyth after previous stops in Crane and West Plains.
Chris Halbrook led four Panthers in double-figures with 18 points while Ava's Isaac Dalton led all scorers with 29.
