Forsyth Softball Wins Tournament, Recap and Preview

Recapping some highlights from last week and what is to come this week.

Among the highlights of games aired online at MOARK Sports Dot Com:

Monday 4/8
From Forsyth, the Baseball Panthers prevailed in a back and forth contest with Aurora which saw the Panthers squeeze out a 9-8 win over the visiting Houn' Dawgs. That same day next door, the Forsyth Lady Panthers suffered an 8-0 loss to Skyline.

Tuesday 4/9
The Branson Pirates lost for the first time in COC play, dropping a 6-0 decision at Pirate Park to Webb City. In addition, the Harrison Baseball Goblins played host to Greenbrier in a doubleheader. Both games went to the Panthers by scores of 1-0 and 10-0. 

Thursday 4/11
The Branson Lady Pirates soccer team made their MOARK debut with coverage of their match at Carthage. The host Lady Tigers got a goal off of a deflection and that was enough secure a 1-0 win. 

Saturday 4/13
A doubleheader of Forsyth Baseball action from Collier Field went to the home team as the Panthers held off Gainesville 5-4 while they also won a rematch of their Class 3 Sectional Game last season, knocking off defending State Champion Licking 9-2. Tristen Hunter homered in the first game while Braxton Gross knocked one out in the second game. 

Other highlights from last week
The Forsyth Softball Team suffered another loss to Strafford before winning four in a row, the last three resulting in claiming the Championship of the Sparta Tournament on Saturday. At the tournament, the Lady Panthers knocked off Fordland 4-3 and Gainesville 16-1 before defeating the host Lady Trojans 9-8 to take the tournament title. The previous week, the Lady Panthers had finished second in their own tournament. 

The Branson Baseball Pirates turned out to have a strong week despite the loss to Webb City. The Pirates won their other three games of the week, 9-8 over Lebanon, 10-1 over Carthage, and 13-0 over McDonald County.
