Friday-Saturday Recap

A number of games on the diamond from Friday and Saturday.

The games on MOARK Sports:
Friday
Smithville 9 Hollister 0
The Tigers, coming off their first win of the season on Thursday over McDonald County, were shutdown by the visitors from Smithville, who were rebounding after losing a game earlier in the day at Branson. The Tigers earlier Friday dropped a 13-1 decision against undefeated West Plains.

Saturday
Forsyth 13 Sparta 10
Springfield Catholic 9 Forsyth 5
MOARK Sports had coverage of the first two games of the annual Forsyth Tournament which saw the host Panthers rally from a 9-4 deficit to grab a 13-10 win. The Lady Panthers got two home runs from Lili Roberts then a walk-off winning home run from Haiden Holllie in the bottom of the fifth which ended the game due to time limit. The Lady Panthers were not so fortunate in the second game as several errors and timely hitting by Springfield Catholic propelled the Lady Irish to a 9-5 win. Springfield Catholic won their other two games in the tournament to grab the championship while Forsyth's 13-3 win over Conway to close the tournament earned them second place.

Reeds Spring 10 Greenwood 9
An added game to the schedule due to earlier rainouts, the Wolves and Blue Jays play for the second time this year and much like the first game, the Wolves get a close win for their fourth victory of the season.
