The man who has been associated with Branson Football for over three decades will be honored at this season's opening home football contest.

Steve Hancock will be the first inductee into a new Wall of Honor for past Branson Coaches that will be on display at Pirates Stadium. Hancock came to Branson in 1986 after beginning his head coaching career at Stockton High School, and in 28 years led the Pirates to 197 wins and 14 post season appearances. After leaving Branson in 2013, Hancock went to Springfield Catholic and led the Irish for six seasons earning his 300th career win. Hancock returned to Branson in 2020 as an assistant on the staff of Head Coach Anthony Hayes and is beginning his second year on the staff of current Head Coach Aaron Hafner.

The ceremony will take place at 6:30 pm at Pirate Stadium prior to the opening Football Game on Friday August 25 against Joplin.
