An area student joins a statewide board.
The Arkansas Activities Association recently named their selections for the Circle K Student Advisory Council. The Association every year selects students entering their junior year from each Activity District of the state to serve a two-year term on the board that according to the AAA, meets on matters relating to maintaining and promoting perspective and scope for activities.
Harrison Junior Ava Young was one of the students selected, and will serve for the next two years while the areas other representative, Rilyn Robins of Flippin, will serve the second year of his term.
The students are appointed to the board after filling out an application which also comes with a letter of recommendation from a school administrator according to the AAA.
