Hollister Teams Sweep Home Track Meet

Information on the recent Hollister Track Team wins below courtesy of Hollister School Communications Director Kim Connell.

The Hollister High School track teams excelled at the Tiger Invitational track meet last week with both the Tigers and Lady Tigers securing team championships.

The event, held at Hollister High School, featured ten participating schools, showcasing top-tier competition.

The Lady Tigers triumphed in a thrilling finish, winning by just one point over second-place Spokane. With a smaller roster, the team’s victory came down to every point earned, highlighting their determination and teamwork. Meanwhile, the boys' team comfortably claimed first place, finishing 37 points ahead of second-place Willow Springs.

Medal performances included Gold Medals: Sinry Mendoza, Bella Cavins, Autumn Golightly, and the Girls 4x200 Relay (Bella Cavins, Tessa Golightly, Alyssa Danielson, Autumn Golightly). Silver Medals: Autumn Golightly, Bella Cavins, Macie Laird, Baylor Evans, Jaivyn Brayfield, the Girls 4x800 Relay (Ella Green, Amya Haley, Alyssa Danielson, Macie Laird), the Boys 4x800 Relay (Eli Struik, Emmett Aksamit, Cole Escobar, Sinry Mendoza), the Boys 4x200 Relay (Blake Brasser, Gibsyn Penny, Christian Romo, Baylor Evans), and the Boys 4x400 Relay (Gibsyn Penny, Wyatt Jones, Eli Struik, Baylor Evans). Bronze Medals: Cole Escobar, Wyatt Jones, Baylor Evans, Ella Green, Macie Laird, Eli Struik, and the Boys 4x100 Relay (Christian Romo, Jaivyn Brayfield, Atticus Genneralli, Blake Brasser).

Several other athletes also placed and contributed valuable points to their teams, making for a successful start to the season for both the Tigers and Lady Tigers.
