Hollister Volleyball Athletes Reach Milestones at Recent Match

A recent match for the Hollister Lady Tigers Volleyball squad was special for a pair of team members.

The Hollister Tigers Volleyball team had an exciting night during their match against Parkview on September 3, with two standout athletes reaching significant career milestones.

Senior outside hitter Paige Hurley recorded her 500th career kill in the third set of the match. Hurley entered the game needing 9 kills to achieve the milestone and ended the night with 10, bringing her total career kills to 501. This achievement places Hurley third on Hollister Volleyball’s all-time kill list, behind Raven Ross (538) and Emilia Tuxen (553).

In the second set, junior setter Gracyn Jones reached her own career milestone, recording her 100th career ace. Jones needed 2 aces going into the match and exceeded expectations by finishing with 8 aces for the night. She now has a career total of 106 aces, placing her second on Hollister’s all-time ace list, trailing only Jordan Pierce (140).

Both athletes have made significant contributions to the success of Hollister Volleyball and continue to showcase their talent and determination on the court. Congratulations to Paige and Gracyn on their remarkable accomplishments!
