For most of the game, the Lady Pirates held the advantage over Class 3 Lady Eagles, but the defensive pressure Fair Grove applied final got to Branson as the Lady Eagles took their first lead with 90 seconds to go and held on. The Lady Pirates had built a 15 point first half lead and still lead by 10 entering the fourth quarter, but Fair Groves offense, stymied by the Branson defense most of the game, got on track in the fourth quarter with a 21-8 run that spoiled Branson's bid for the win. Angel Craigg led Branson with 23 points as they lost their second straight game falling to 9-5 for the season.
