A pair of contests heard on MOARK Sports on Monday featured match-ups of area teams with both games being played early in the day to beat the storms that later moved through the region.
Baseball
Reeds Spring 8 Crane 6 (8 Innings)
After the Wolves jumped out to a 6-0 lead, the homestanding Pirates clawed their way back into the contest with a four run fourth then single runs in the sixth and seventh to tie it before the Wolves recovered and cashed in on an error on a base hit and later on a wild pitch to get two runs and grab their third win of the season.
In other baseball action, Forsyth wins the match-up of two top area teams, getting a 6-2 win at Rogersville Monday afternoon.
Softball

The Lady Tigers scored the first run of the game before the Lady Panthers scored runs in each of the next three innings to grab the run rule victory. Lindsey Essary hit a solo and three run homer to help pace Forsyth to their fourth win of the season.
