A recap of recent games includes a split for the Branson Baseball Pirates in Arkansas.
The Pirates traveled to McClain Park in Mountain Home for a game with the Bombers in addition to a key district game against West Plains.
After the Bombers defeated the Zizzers 8-3, the Pirates played the Zizzers in the middle game of the day which pitted two teams who will play in the same Class 5 District Tournament in May. After getting an early 2-0 lead, the Pirates lost the lead in the fourth when West Plains scored two to tie with Branson answering with one in the fifth then three in the seventh to secure the 6-2 win. The Pirates did fall in the last game of the day as Mountain Home took a 13-6 win.
In other Branson Sports News, the tennis Pirates take the team title at the Joplin Invitational on Friday .The Pirates dropped only 3 of 20 matches they played on the day against Clever, Glendale, Willard, and the host Eagles to claim the title.
