Action Saturday included a pair of baseball games and a soccer match heard on MOARK Sports.
Two of the final three games at the Hollister Baseball Festival involved area teams including the renewal of of rivalry heard on MOARK Sports. The Hollister Tigers and Forsyth Panthers went back and forth in their early morning match-up which saw the Tigers get the final word, using a six run fourth inning to take a 10-5 win to break a three game losing streak, including a pair of games in the festival on Friday.
The second game as also close for a while but McDonald County used a big inning to notch a 7-2 win over Forsyth. After starting the season 6-0, the Panthers hit a rough spot in the Festival losing an opening game Friday night at Branson Pirate Park to Marshfield 13-3.
McDonald County went on to win the final game of Saturday's Festival 6-5 over William Chrisman of Independence.
Meanwhile in Branson, the Pirates lost the final two games of the Dan Furst segment of the Baseball Festival after a come from behind win on Friday. The Pirates 8-7 win Friday over Smithville was followed by losses to St. Thomas Aquinas 13-0 and to Summit Christian Academy 4-3.
The other match-up heard on MOARK Sports Saturday was the Branson Lady Pirates Soccer trip to central Missouri where they lost to Sedalia Smith-Cotton 3-0.
