Arkansas State Basketball Update

An Update on Area Teams in the State Basketball Tournaments plus a recap of the 3A Tournament at North Arkansas College.

In Class 4A Boys, the Berryville Bobcat run ended Monday in the semi-finals with a 54-45 loss to Blytheville, who moves on to take on Magnolia in the State Finals in Hot Springs on Saturday. Farmington and Nashville will play in the Girls Final on Saturday. 

In the 3A Tournament hosted by Valley Springs at North Arkansas College, Bergman punched a ticket to the Championship Game with a 61-46 win over Clinton Monday night while Valley Springs fell one game short of making it an all area final, as the Lady Tigers fell to Lamar 67-58. Bergman and Lamar will play for the title in Hot Springs Saturday morning at 11:30. On the boys side, Osceola and Dumas won their way to Saturday's championship game. 

In 2A, the Eureka Springs Boys were eliminated in the quarterfinals Sunday by Magnet 58-50 while in 1A, Western Grove was eliminated in the girls quarterfinals by Kirby 53-44 while Kingston went to the semi-finals before being defeated by Mammoth Springs 53-30.
