Branson Girls, Forsyth Boys Win Tournaments, Other Saturday Results

Saturday's Basketball Tournament action resulted in Tournament Titles for two area teams.

Branson Battle at the Boarder Tournament
The Branson Lady Pirates hold off a late charge from Mountain Home to take a 65-64 win to take the tournament title. The Lady Pirates led most of the game but the Lady Bombers took advantage of several turnovers and took a one point lead in the final seconds only to have Branson's Taylor Foster hit a shot with less than 10 seconds left to secure the win. 

On the boys side, Lake Hamilton won the tournament after their win on Friday night. Mountain Home beat Branson Saturday 59-44 to take second place. 

Forsyth Tournament
The host Panthers jumped out to a 14 point first quarter lead over Hollister with the Tigers spending the rest of the game trying to get back in it. The Tigers got all the way back to within two points late in the game, but the Panthers held on for the 45-41 win to claim their first tournament title since 2017. Ryder Blevins, who along with Cooper Voliva was named to the All-Tournament Team, scored 22 points to pace the Panthers while Tournament MVP Garrett Snyder from Hollister let the Tigers with 17 points. Carl Junction took third over with a 49-37 win over Spokane while Gainesville jumped out to a big lead, then held off a late charge from the Forsyth JV to take a 54-47 win for fifth place.

Harrison at Willard Tournament
The Goblins take fifth place over Belton 80-59 while the Lady Goblins lose their final game to Springfield Kickapoo 65-58.

Crane Wins Own Tournament
The Crane Lady Pirates defeat Hollister 59-30 in the tournament championship game Saturday.
