Cards' Goldschmidt Named National League MVP

The 2022 National League Most Valuable Player Award is going to a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Paul Goldschmidt takes home the honor getting 22 of 30 first place votes from the Baseball Writers of America, beating out Manny Machado of the San Diego Padres and Cards teammate Nolan Arenado for the award. Goldschmidt has been in the running for the award several times before including two runner-up finishes. 

Goldschmidt hit .317, belted 35 home runs, and collected 115 RBI this season helping the Cardinals to the National League Central Division Title.
