Chiefs Survive Strong Effort From Broncos, Win 12th

The Kansas City Chiefs survived a scare from the Denver Broncos to grab win number 12 on the season.

The Chiefs 27-24 win keeps them in contention for the top seed in the AFC Conference Playoffs. Currently Buffalo holds the top spot going into tonight's game at Cincinnati, another team also in contention for the top seed.

Patrick Mahomes hit two landmark records in leading the Chiefs to the victory. Mahomes eclipsed the 5,000 yard passing mark for the second time in his career. Only Drew Brees with five and Tom Brady with two have multiple 5,000 yard passing seasons. Mahmones also threw his 40th touchdown pass of the season. Brees is the only other quarterback to accomplish both milestones in the same season.

The regular season closes for Kansas City at Las Vegas this weekend. Official day and game times will be released by the NFL later today. The game can be heard on Legends 1063.
