College Football Recap: Hogs, Tigers Fall to Top Ranked Teams, Bears Outscored in North Dakota

Missouri and Arkansas faced the top two teams in the country Saturday while Missouri State got involved in a high scoring game on the road.

The Missouri Tigers nearly pulled off a huge upset, leading top ranked Georgia for much of the game before the Bulldogs scored the final 14 points of the game on their way to a 26-22 win in Columbia. Tiger Kicker Harrison Mevis, who missed a short field goal that would have beat Auburn last week, booted five field goals in the game including two of 50 plus yards.

Meanwhile in Fayetteville, the Arkansas Razorbacks fell behind early, then took advantage of several miscues by Number Two Alabama to close the game to a 28-23 margin late in the third quarter, only to see the Tide regain control outscoring the Hogs 21-3 in the final quarter on their way to a 49-26 triumph.

The FCS Seventh Ranked Missouri State Bears lost their third straight game Saturday as they lose a high scoring game at North Dakota 48-31. According to a release from MSU Sports Information, the Bears led most of the first half but could not contain the home team which outscored the Bears 28-10 in the second half.
