4 of 10 Students Honored by the Arkansas Activities Association and Centennial Bank for their Academic and Athletic Accomplishments are from the region.
Noah Moix of Harrison and Holliday Derosier of Yellville-Summit were two of the five boys honored while two of the five girls to receive awards included Laruen Compton of Berryville and Maura Moore of Valley Springs.
According to a release from the Arkansas Activities Association, these students and the other six awarded were chosen from among over 400 applicants to receive a $10,000 Scholarship due to their outstanding work in the classroom as well as in their athletic activities.
Another student from a nearby school district was also honored as Lauren Dewey of Mountain Home received a scholarship award.
