Friday Basketball: Harrison Teams Split in Tournament, Branson Teams Split at Home

A pair of doubleheaders on MOARK Sports Friday ended up in split results.

The Harrison Girls and Boys teams were in semi-final action at the 4A-1 Conference Tournament at Pea Ridge. The Lady Goblins, one of the tournaments top seeds, held off Gentry 37-36 to advance to Saturday's tournament finals against Farmington while the Goblins fell to rival Berryville 67-49 and will take on Shiloh Christian for 3rd place on Saturday while the Bobcats match-up with Farmington in the championship game. 

It was also a split for the Branson teams Friday night in their home regular season doubleheader against Carl Junction. The Lady Pirates hung tough with the Lady Bulldogs but could not pull out the upset as CJ earns their 19th win of the season with a 52-45 win while the Pirates exploded for a big win over the visiting Bulldogs 85-46 behind a 24 point performance from Kade Goodwin with Kyle Scharbrough adding 19. 

Also on MOARK Friday, Monett knocks off Reeds Spring in Boys action 54-45.

High School Basketball Saturday on MOARK will include Harrison's final games at the 4A-1 Conference Tournament, the Blue Eye Girls opening round game in the Class 2 District at Billings against New Covenant Academy, and a Forsyth Lady Panther make-up game at Clever. Also on MOARK Saturday, a special presentation of College of the Ozarks Basketball with the women hosting Iowa Wesleyan while the Men will entertain Ecclesia College.
