The Harrison Goblins bats game alive in a game in Missouri Monday, but their opponent hit enough on their own to prevail.

The Nixa Eagles held on for an 8-6 win in a game that saw the Goblins fall behind early with the home team scoring in each of the first four innings. Harrison, which had struggled offensively but still got a 2-1 win at Russellville Saturday, got the offense going with four runs and five hits over the next two innings to tie the game, only to see Nixa answer with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to regain the lead. The Goblins had a rally in the seventh for two more runs but fell short.

Beck Jones got on base four times for the Goblins with two walks, a hit, and being hit by a pitch while Cy Madden and Timber Crenwegle each had two hits.

The Goblins are 7-7 entering their game at home Thursday against Pea Ridge.
