Holiday Tournament Basketball Results From Friday, Overall Recap

The Harrison Teams swept their final games in the Lendel Thomas Classic.

The Goblin Boys capped off the three-day event by rolling by Prairie Grove 67-41 and move their overall record to 10-5 for the season. The claim first over Dumas in this year's classic.

Meanwhile the Lady Goblins rebounded after Thursday's loss to Highland by knocking off Prairie Grove in their game on Friday 53-31 to claim runner-up to Highland in the Classic. 

Other area results:
Berryville takes the Boys Consolation Final at their Holiday Hoops Tournament holding off Monticello 50-48 in their contest Friday while the Lady Bobcats win their final game over Crane 42-33 to take third place. 

At the North Arkansas College Tournament in Harrison, Norfork defeated Kingston 61-39, and Valley Springs knocked-off Rural Special 63-46 in the girls semi-finals while on the boys’ side, Bergman defeated Marshall 72-43 with Clinton won 67-54 over Valley Springs. The finals take place on Monday with Norfork playing Valley Springs in the Girls Championship at 6:00 followed by the Boys final between Bergman and Clinton. 

The Hollister girls finish sixth at the Walnut Grove Tournament in Ash Grove as they drop a 52-30 decision to Greenfield. Sparta, who will host their own eight team tournament this week which includes Forsyth and Hollister, claimed the girls Walnut Grove title defeating the host school 49-41.

The Pink and White Tournament wrapped-up on Friday while the Blue and Gold concluded on Thursday. Championship Game Scores:
