The Kansas City Chiefs claim a seventh consecutive AFC West Division Championship after Sunday's 30-24 overtime win at Houston.

The one win Texas kept the Chiefs off-balance for much of the game but they were able to get a fourth quarter lead then after Houston tied it, were able to force a turnover then get a 26-yard touchdown run by Jerick McKinnon on the following play to go to 11-3 for the season.

The seventh straight division title ties the Chiefs with the Los Angeles Rams for second place all-time on consecutive division titles won. The Rams won the NFC West seven straight times between 1972-79. The New England Patriots won 11 straight AFC East titles between 2009 and 2019.

The Chiefs also maintain their number two spot in the conference postseason standings with three game remaining.

The Chiefs, after three straight road games, get to return home for two straight weeks starting with the Saturday match-up with Seattle. Game broadcast begins at 11:00 am on Legends 1063.
