Missouri Drops Bowl Game, Arkansas Plays this Week

The Missouri Tigers struggles in bowl games continue as they drop a 27-17 decision to Wake Forest in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa Friday.

The Tigers trailed the entire first half but did take the lead in the third quarter on a Cody Schrader 4 yard touchdown run only to see the Demon Decans score the games final 10 points to send the Tigers to the fourth straight loss in a bowl game.

Meanwhile, the bowl game that original wanted the Tigers to play in will instead see a match-up featuring the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Hogs will take on Kansas in the Auto Zone Liberty Bowl in Memphis on Wednesday. Both teams will take 6-6 records into the game which will be the third year in a row for the Razorbacks making a bowl game while the Jayhawks will be in a bowl game for the first time since 2008. The two schools have not played in football since 1906.
