Basketball action covered on MOARK Sports Tuesday night included a couple of big wins for the Branson teams on Senior Night.

The Lady Pirates, one season removed from a four win campaign, guaranteed themselves no worse than a .500 record this season as they defeated Willard 67-61. Branson had built a 15 point lead early in the second half when Willard started climbing back into the game. The Lady Tigers started the fourth quarter on an 11-0 run to take their first lead of the game but the Lady Pirates fought back to get the win. Four Lady Pirates scored in double figures led by Taylor Foster's 16 points.

Meanwhile in the Boys Game, the game went back and forth but Willard held the lead going into the fourth quarter with the Pirates able to pull the game out when some timely steals and basketballs. Kyle Scharbrough leads the Pirates with 18 points.

The weather forecast puts into doubt the final games of the regular season, home contests Thursday against Webb City which were postponed due to the earlier snow storm this month. Branson is scheduled to open Class 5 District Tournament play on Saturday at Marshfield, the Lady Pirates against the host Lady Jays, and the Pirates against West Plains.

Meanwhile, in games rescheduled due to the impending winter storm, both the Blue Eye teams played and won their semifinal contests on Tuesday night in the Class 2 District at Billings. The Lady Bulldogs knocked off Springfield Greenwood 74-52 with the Bulldogs beating host Billings 64-42.
