Branson Parks Director Cindy Shook to be Inducted into Missouri Sports Hall of Fame

The longtime Director of the Branson Parks and Recreation Department has been selected for Induction into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.

The full release from the H of F of the list of inductees for their Women's Luncheon in April includes Cindy Shook, who has served as Parks Director since 2001 after having served several years as Assistant Director. In it's release, the H of F talks about the impact the Parks Department led by Shook had in developing Branson into a youth sports tournament destination and also her role in heading the development and construction of the Branson Rec Plex.

The release also talks about other honors Shook has received including the Community Spirit Award from from the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB in 2016 and the Missouri Municipal League Innovation Award in 2021. 

World Golf Hall of Fame Member and longtime Broadcaster Judy Rankin will be among the other inductees during the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Women's Luncheon on April 20 at the Oasis Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield.
