Although the Branson Baseball Pirates controlled most of the game against Carl Junction on Senior Day, they needed a big hit by one of those seniors to help rally the team for the win.

Senior Ridge Schroeder capped a seven run sixth inning with a two-out grand slam home run as the Pirates take a 9-3 win over the Bulldogs on a game delayed a day due to Thursday's heavy rains.

The Pirates led 2-0 going into the sixth inning, but the Bulldogs pieced four consecutive hits with two outs to grab a 3-2 lead. The Pirates then went to work in sixth inning and while they had to overcome a miscue that saw a runner fall down on what would have been the game tying run, the Pirates were able to get the lead thanks to a bases loaded walk to Lance Strahan, a wild pitch, and a RBI single by Carter Jenkins. The following hitter Andrew Bristow drew a walk to reload the bases to set-up Schroeder, who launched a 2-1 pitch over the left field fence to clear the bases.

Branson wins their regular season home finale going to 15-12 on the season. The Pirates will play a pair of road games to wrap-up the regular season, at Camdenton on Wednesday, then at Kickapoo on Thursday.
