The final home games for the Missouri Lakes Area High School Football teams had Branson and Reeds Spring nearly pulling off upsets while Forsyth and Hollister rolled.

The Branson Pirates took the sixth ranked Class 6 Joplin Eagles down to the wire before dropping a 21-16 decision. The Pirates held a brief 9-6 second quarter lead before the Eagles grabbed a 13-9 halftime lead. The Eagles scored a touchdown in the third quarter to go up 10 and were driving for another score in the fourth quarter before an interception return for a touchdown by Landon Atwood got the Pirates within three. Branson couldn't score on two subsequent drives with the Eagles getting a safety in the final minute for the final margin.

Meanwhile in Reeds Spring, the Wolves jumped out on Class 3 No. 10 Aurora 14-0 only to see the Houn' Dawgs  score the final 28 points in the 28-14 win.

The other area teams won big home games with Forsyth running by Agape 56-15 while Hollister ended a two game losing streak with a 38-0 win over Mount Vernon.
