Branson Wins Final Tune-Up Games Prior to Softball District

The Branson Lady Pirates win a pair of games in Cassville Saturday as their final tune-up prior to the Class 4 District Tournament next week.

The Lady Pirates road the strong pitching of Peyton Bonsey to a 5-0 win over the host Lady Wildcats and an 11-1 win over Bolivar. Bonsey struck out four and held the Lady Wildcats to three hits in Game One while Bonsey added a strikeout and scattered six hits in the game against the Lady Liberators. Bonsey did not allow a walk in either game.

At the plate, Branson scored all five of their runs in the first inning of the Cassville game while Sierra Dailey had a big game against Bolivar, hitting a two-run homer in the first then adding RBI hits in the fourth and fifth innings. Lillie Bell also had three hits in the game and knocked in two runs. 

Branson (12-14) will play the host team in the opening round of the Class 4 District at Neosho on Wednesday.
