The Forsyth Panthers win their High School Football Season opener Saturday night.
The home contest for the Panthers, one of the games moved prior to the start of the season due to a shortage of officials, make the most of their Saturday night contest beating El Dorado Springs 36-16.
The Panthers got two first quarter touchdown runs by Corgan Strong but then had their offense go stagnant while the Bulldogs got momentum and finally scored in the third quarter to cut the lead to eight before the the teams them exchanged scores before the Panther defense got a couple of key stops to secure the win.
Strong had two more touchdowns in the third quarter, one on the ground and the other on a pass from Aaron Gross who scored the game's final touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
