Forsyth, Reeds Spring Knocked Out of Playoffs, Berryville Claims Carroll County Rivalry Game

The last two teams still playing from the Lakes Region in the Missouri High School Football District Playoffs were defeated Friday night while in Arkansas, Berryville has the upper hand against their Carroll County Rivals.

In the District Semi-finals, both Forsyth and Reeds Spring got off the early leads in their games but their opponents eventually rallied for wins.

In Forsyth, the Panthers led at the end of one 14-6 but the visitors from Mountain View-Liberty scored the game's next 40 points to roll to the 46-21 win in their Class 2 District Game. Corgan Strong had 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns before leaving the game due to an injury in the third quarter. Braxton Gross scored the Panthers other touchdown in the closing moments of the game.

Meanwhile in Mountain Grove, the visiting Reeds Spring Wolves also got the early lead only to see the home team score 28 straight to secure the 28-12 win, ending the Reeds Spring season at 4-7. 

In Arkansas, the final night of the regular season included the annual Carroll County Rivalry game that saw the Berryville Bobcats eek out a 3-0 win at Green Forest against the Tigers. In other action, the Harrison Goblins finish up the regular season with a 42-7 home win over Pea Ridge and move into the State Football Playoffs next week.
