The Branson Baseball Pirates overcome a slow start and get a 9-4 win over McDonald County Friday at Pirate Park to remain undefeated.

After getting a first inning run, the Pirates saw the visiting Mustangs score a run in the second and three in the third to take a 4-1 lead. The Pirates rally with two runs in their half of the third then five in the fourth to break the game open, the key hit being a bases clearing double by Andrew Bristow. Bristow was one of four Pirates to get two hits in the game. Starting pitcher Collin Ross, who also had two hits, pitched five innings to notch the win.

The Pirates have added a game to their schedule as they go to Fair Grove for a 5:00 game today. The Eagles had their undefeated run broken Friday in a 1-0 loss to Bolivar. The next Pirate Baseball Game on MOARK Sports is on Monday as the Pirates play at Springfield Catholic.

In other action Friday on MOARK Sports, a game that was originally scheduled for Hammons Field in Springfield had to be moved due to field conditions. The game turned into a tight game as the host Nixa Eagles edged the Hollister Tigers 1-0. The Eagles got the games only run in the second inning to remain undefeated while Hollister suffered their first loss of the season.
