The Link Academy Basketball Program based in Branson had a remarkable first year as they played for a National Championship. One of the rewards is garnering an invite to a major tournament played in the Ozarks.

The Lions have been one of the southwest Missouri Teams invited to play next year in the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Championship held at JQH Arena on the Missouri State University Campus. The long-running tournament has highlighted one or two area schools competing with top high schools from around the country in the three day event held in January.

Link Academy will be joined by Springfield Kickapoo in the field of eight teams.

Link Academy, part of the Link Year Program based out of Kanakuk Kamp, began their first year as a College Prep High School Program for major college bound athletes and develop a team that played schools from all across the country. The Lions eventually finished second in the GEICO National Tournament losing in the Championship Game last weekend to Montverde Academy of Florida in the finals.

Link Year has field a post high school graduate basketball team for several years.
