Pirates Baseball Season Ends With Loss to Glendale

While the 2022 Branson Baseball Team saw a major improvement on their record, one thing in common with the 2021 season is how it ended.

For the second straight year, Glendale knocks Branson out of the District Tournament and for the second straight year, it was on a no-hitter. Jacob House only allowed five base runners the entire game in the Falcons 3-0 win. Branson's combination of three pitchers was almost equal to the task, holding Glendale to four hits but an errant throw on what would have been the third out of the fifth inning, two walks, and a bases clearing double were all the Falcons would need for the win.

Despite the loss, the 2022 Pirates tied for the second most wins since 2010 with 18 and won a district game for the first time in five years.

Glendale meanwhile, will play Willard in the District Finals on Saturday at Pirate Park. The Tigers beat West Plains 10-2 in Thursday's other semi-final.
