Eight schools braved the cold, blustery conditions at Pirates Stadium Thursday night for the annual Branson Invitational Track Meet.
Republic and Ozark won the team competitions on the boys and girls sides respectively. Following the Tigers in the boys standings were Ozark, Branson, Cassville, Reeds Spring, Hollister, Blue Eye, and Mount Vernon. Branson took second behind Ozark on the girls side with Republic. Cassville, Hollister, Blue Eye, and Reeds Spring rounding out the standings.
Individual Highlights from the Meet:
-Branson Senior and University of Missouri Signee Cali Essick finished first first in the Girls 100 Meter Dash as well as the Long and Triple Jumps.
-Branson Senior and Hillsdale College Signee Colsen Conway also had a strong home meet, taking first in the Boys 110 and 300 Meter Hurdles as well as the 200 Meter Dash.
-Branson's Kyshin Isringhausen took a first place finish in the Boys Pole Vault.
-Branson's Adrian earned a top finish in the Boys Triple Jump.
-Branson had a 1-2 Finish in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles with Larkin Currier and Grace Calovich taking the top two spots.
-Branson also had a 1-2 Finish in the Girls Shot Put with Ella-Mae Kirkland taking first, Laural Larimore finishing second.
-Cassville earned three first place medals, Bradan Dickinson in the Boys Discus and Shot Put and Riley Morris in the Girls Discus.
No other area schools had individual winners but had a number second place finishers. They included:
